Barnyard Banter

 I know it's been a while! Work and personal life have been crazy for me. I haven't had much time to do anything creative, let alone post about it!  Here is a flannelboard for Barnyard Banter.  This one takes a lot of painting skill, but it is a great story for Phonological Awareness! Very Quiet Cricket

I have spent the last 9 years as a support person for an Early Reading First Grant.  As a part of this grant, we made and help make classroom materials that would enrich literacy in the preschool classroom.  I have made zillions of flannelboard stories during this time, some with help from others (other blogs, preschool curriculum websites, and my student assistants.)  Today, I would like to show you one of my first and favorites, "The Very Quiet Cricket" by Eric Carle, who is easily my favorite children's book author/illustrator.
