Very Quiet Cricket

I have spent the last 9 years as a support person for an Early Reading First Grant.  As a part of this grant, we made and help make classroom materials that would enrich literacy in the preschool classroom.  I have made zillions of flannelboard stories during this time, some with help from others (other blogs, preschool curriculum websites, and my student assistants.)  Today, I would like to show you one of my first and favorites, "The Very Quiet Cricket" by Eric Carle, who is easily my favorite children's book author/illustrator. If you would like the pattern in PDF format, please email me.  I haven't quite gotten how to post a file yet!

  1. Hi Luchie,
    I saw you posted this on the Flannel Friday facebook page. You should submit it as a post for this week's roundup also. Look for the post Thursday & Friday over at http://storytime.readingchick.com/.

    Great job on your flannel! I'd love the patterns, but I don't see how to email you. When I post patterns, I usually use Publisher to turn them into PDFs and then post them using Google Documents' sharing option. A lot of times my patterns are ones I found on the Web, in which case I just link to them.

    I'm thrilled to have another Michigander in the FF group. I used to live in GR myself. When I was a MLS student I worked part-time at KDL & left for my current FT job. Miss living in Kent County though!

    I hope some of this information is useful. Email me at anne@sotomorrowblog.com if you need anything else. :)

  2. So Beautiful! You did a wonderful job on them!

    Thank you for letting me know that you want to link up to the Bugs ABC's Blog Hop. This is perfect for it! I'll let you know as soon as it is linked up.

    I would love to have a copy of your patterns. I am pretty new to this, too, so I am still working on learning to do what Anne suggested above. I'll have to try it again. I think I did something wrong last time I tried. :o{

    I have a son who lives near you in Michigan. We are hoping to come up for a visit soon. He and his fiance keep asking me to send my resume so they can find me a job and I can move up there. LOL!

    Hope you have a wonderful evening! It is really nice to "meet" you!
